Electrical Engineering Society

The department of electrical engineering, in Institute of engineering and technology Lucknow, is one of the eight departments that was established in 1984 and recognized by AICTE. Electrical Engineering Department has the vision to develop a world-class center for research in the area of Advance Power System Engineering with special reference to Smart Grid and Renewable Energy Resources. Along with the research in above field, it is desired to extend testing and consultancy to field board and other field related organization of Indian northern zone. Thus, with an initial aid from the World Bank, the department dreams as a well-developed self-sustained center of excellence in the field of power engineering. To accomplish the dreams of department Electrical engineering society (EES), the first established society of IET Lucknow, came into existence by the electrical engineering department. If we bounce back to the history of IET Lucknow at that time when no other societies or clubs were functioning, EES organized all technical and cultural events to evolve the students to the finest. And also 'Parakram' the annual technical fest of IET was organized by this society.

As due to resistors there is a voltage drop in the circuit, similarly due to some reasons flotation of participating current stopped and this society became inactive in some near past year.

The day dawneth came, so was the scenario with EES and came back into action. By the efforts of students of EE department batch 2016-17 this society is finally inaugurated on 22 Feb 2018 in the presence of Kuldeep Sahay, the honorable HOD of electrical engineering department, senior faculty members respected Dr. Bharti Dwiwedi and Prof. Satyendra Singh, Dr. Pushkar Tripathi, Dr. Arunima Verma and Faculty Adviser of EES Nitin Anand Srivastava.

Words came into action when the first seminar on Micro Grid was organized with Sanmoksha by Dr. Ashok Kr. Das, CEO of Sanmoksha. The future plans of EES are radiant enough to enlighten the future of students of IET Lucknow.

Expected plans of EES
