Taekwondo, a Korean traditional martial arts, is believed to teach more than just physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. This famous sport saw a rise in Lucknow with Mr. R. P. Singh's efforts, who coaches our team here in IET. Under the able guidance and mentorship of the one who is known for introducing the sport in the city, and is a 5th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, our team has won a number of laurels for the college and is amongst the best teams of the State. Birthed around 27 years back, the team undergoes rigorous and extensive practices all through the year, perfecting themselves in head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast technique kicks.

The team has proved its mettle not only in intra- and inter-collegiate events, but has also put up an award-winning fight at the state and national level in the past. For the team-members, being a part of such a revered group must definitely be a memory worth cherishing once they depart from the college.
