Excelsior
The name “Excelsior” itself stands for “superior quality” and thus the members of this club consistently work hard to refine and polish their skills to live up to that name. The club is a home to the students having a passion for literature, debating, poetry writing, creative writing, elocution et cetera; to showcase talent. It is largely viewed as a unique platform to all the literary enthusiasts in IET Lucknow. Throughout the year various events are organized by the club to foment a nurturing atmosphere.
History
The Excelsior was established on 27th of August 2014 and since then the club has cherished many
attainments. Beginning with the creators of this club: Sarthak Anand, Monalisa Routray, and Shashank
Yadav; the following years saw a rise in popularity of this club and thus the post of coordinators was
designated to a select few, to look after the functioning of the club.

Working
Every year two coordinators are selected to head the club. All the proceedings of the club are decided by them. However, a set number of events are conducted every year. The participation by members in every event is not compulsory it is free will here. However, absence in the meets held on weekends is taken as a serious offense and may result in termination of membership. Apart from this a healthy and fun environment is created in all the proceedings of the club to voice every opinion without hesitation.
Practice Sessions:
A rigorous session of at least 2 hours is kept on the weekends. However , short meet may be called
upon by the coordinators as per the need.
Selection Process
New members join every year through an audition process. Prestige, honor and a tag of being one the finest among the crowd is bestowed to the members of Excelsior. Currently, the club embodies 100+ members.
Join Excelsior to excel, and sear the old fears.
