It wasn’t the best of times, it wasn’t the worst of times, it was just a regular time when IET Whiteboard decided to conduct a survey on the freshers, like it does every year (since 2018). Inspired by the Harvard Crimson survey, this survey was conducted to perceive the
backgrounds, basic ideologies and motivations of the Class of '23.

A year that trended on all social media, a year that made us all sit at home, stopped us from travelling, alerted us about pollution, health and even death. Most people call it the most depressing year since World War, but some people found their true selves. Some people enjoyed the time at home, some longed to step out. IET remained shut down for the most part of the year, spring to winters (still is), but it didn't stop the students and faculty from achieving success in all fields. From awards to placements, we saw it all. Read the whole review for more insights into 2020 at IET.
Year 2020 in Review

2021 was a year that witnessed the devastating second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic surge across the globe, shutting students in their homes. IETians were pretty much living their college life from their homes (be it the lectures or club activities) for the majority part of the year. But nonetheless, a lot happened during this past year. From academic achievements to offline fests, a lot was accomplished by the institute.
To give you all a glimpse of the events that took place throughout the year, IET Whiteboard brings to you The IET Herald '21.
