Nakshatra - I.E.T. Astronomy club

Clubs are formed to bring people together having same interests so that they can proactively celebrate their
passion and simultaneously learn a thing or two; and thus, to bring to the light, the delight of astronomy freaks,
an assembly called Nakshatra was formed.
Under the name of Cosmos, a set of astronomy events were conducted in the annual technical event of the
college - Parakram. This was the time when the President of the club Mr. Shobhit Gupta (CHE 3rd year) and the Vice President Mr.Vireshwar Singh (CHE 3rd year) got into collaboration with Indira Gandhi Planetarium under the supervision of Scientific Officer Mr. Sumit Shrivastav, and since this collaboration, the club has grown by leaps and bounds. With our enthusiasm to shine and assurance of personal telescopes and drones for the college, we aim at raising the level of college to match to that of IITs.

Working

Apart from being one of the registered clubs of the college, it is the only active Astro club of the city which works
in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Planetarium Lucknow and UPAAC, under the constant guidance of
Pooja Yadav Ma'am (Joint Director C.S.T.) and Sumit Sir (Scientific Officer C.S.T).

We are bestowed with direct paid internships from the above organizations. The winners of the various
competitions and volunteers of the events conducted are certified by the planetarium and UPAAC.

Throughout the year, the club organizes workshops, competitions, presentation seminars, etc. for anyone who is interested. However, members of the club get to attend the training sessions by the state-run organizations and are provided with certificates for the same. Nothing is more joyful than encapsulating the cosmos, and we get to do just that.

This event made the students fall in a situation where the earth has ended. Now they had to make a plan of rescue
and present it to the judges in form of a slide show.

Treasure hunt
A set of clues were set in a pattern of the treasure hunt. The team which cracked all the riddles in the least time

The event was conducted in a similar fashion as the Sun-watching but at night obviously. The brightness of the
