The hostel provides residential facilities for first year and second year (lateral entries) girls pursuing B.Tech program.

DETAILS:

 There are 34 triple seated rooms (total capacity 102). Each room might accommodate four inmates if numbers of students exceed capacity. Rooms are allotted by ‘first come first serve’ basis.

 

 An inmate is aided with a cot, table, chair, fan, tube light and cupboard (the fourth member shall arrange it on her own).

 

 Two washrooms, consisting of three toilets and three bathing areas, on each floor.


 Common hall, including television, chairs, spare beds, three tables, and four bookshelves can be used for recreational activities.

FACILITIES:

 Geysers and Water coolers on every floor.


 Four Wi-Fi connections.


 Availability of electricity - 24 hours.


 Two gardens.


 Newspapers are provided.


 Laundry services are provided.

MAINTENANCE and REPAIR:

 The rooms are to be cleaned by the inmates. You will be charged extra if you want the hostel cleaning staff to clean your room. All the other areas (including washrooms, corridors, and common hall) are cleaned daily by the cleaning staff.


 Electricians and carpenters are called in as per the requirements.

 

 The matron and attendants look after any problem which may arise due to the breakdown of any item.

MESS:

 The mess is run by The Mess Committee (elected) which constitutes a group of students headed by Mess Secretary.


 The capacity of mess is 64 students in one sitting.

 

 The Account Book containing the details of ration and the key to the store is dealt with by the students as per their turn.


 The menu is decided by the committee according to the budget. .Suggestions of residents are also taken into consideration.


 Every month the bill of each resident is prepared and displayed by the Mess Secretary. The unused amount is given back to the residents at the end of the academic year.

MESS Rules

 Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the mess.


 To maintain the decorum, shorts and capris are not allowed.


 No resident but the Mess Secretary is allowed in the kitchen.


 Mess timings are as mentioned below:

 

BREAKFAST       08:30 AM – 10:00 AM
LUNCH               12:30 PM – 02:00 PM
SNACKS             04:30 PM – 06:00 PM
DINNER              08:30 PM – 10:00 PM
MILK                  10:30 PM – 11:00 PM

 

 On Saturdays, snacks, dinner, and milk is not provided. Required arrangements should be made by the students for the same.

SECURITY:

 The hostel is secured by the guards at the entrance.


 No male is allowed beyond the warden’s office.


 A record of exit and entry timings of every student is maintained.


 Night attendant stays in the hostel to help the residents through the night.

GENERAL RULES:

 Use of appliances like heater, iron etc. is forbidden.


 Residents should be back in the hostel before 8:00 PM.


 Attendance of all the residents is taken between 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM in the Warden’s Office.


 Without any prior information, the hostel will not be opened before 6:00 AM and after 8:00 PM.

 Fine may be imposed for violation of aforesaid rules. The decision of Warden shall be final in this regard.

With all the facilities, the hostel strives to provide an ambient and secure environment for girls.
